This special applies to any combination of photographs, slides and film negatives and offers $40 in savings based on the usual scanning fee of 59 cents per image. We carefully scan your photographs using the following resolutions: for large photos, 800 dpi (dots-per-inch); for smaller photos, 1200 dpi. This allows us to get the best possible image for an 8 x 10 print. Please be sure your photos are not copyrighted (i.e., professional portraits) as we are not allowed by law to reproduce them for profit. However, many portrait studios/photographers will provide you with a written release to copy the photos and upon receipt of this release we are happy to scan these types of photos for you. Once all photos are scanned, minor edits are done to ensure the best possible image (dust/blemish removal, digital enhancement, contrast/brightness when applicable). The individual files are then burned onto a 16 KHz digital CD. If desired, we can also use the images to create a basic or pro/custom-built slideshow put onto digital 720 x 480 DVD for an extra charge (see Product List).
