We carefully scan your slides, photos & film negatives at 1200 dpi (dots-per-inch). This allows us to get the best possible image for an 8 x 10 print. Please be sure your slides/photos are not copyrighted (i.e., professional portraits or other photos taken professionally) as we are not allowed by law to reproduce them for profit. However, many portrait studios will provide you with a written release to copy the photos and upon receipt of this release we are happy to scan these types of images for you.
Once all slides are scanned, minor edits are done to ensure the best possible image (dust/blemish removal, digital enhancement, contrast/brightness when applicable). This option is especially good for film/slides/photos that have gone through some degree of degradation or damage. If the damage is too great, you may be referred to someone who specializes in photo restoration. The individual files are then burned onto a 16 KHz digital CD. If desired, we can also use the images to create a basic or pro/custom-built slideshow put onto digital 720 x 480 DVD for an extra charge*Priced per slide/photo/image scanned*
